On 8 October, the UN Country Team for the DPRK received a briefing on the outcomes of the general debate of the 81st session of the General Assembly, which was held in New York from 22 through 28 September 2026. The briefing provided an overview of the main outcomes of this year's event, both at the global and regional levels. It was noted that the DPRK was represented by H.E. Mr. Kim Son Gyong, Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs, who delivered his
statement on 28 September.
