Installation of RCO DPRK at ESCAP

While the official premises of the Office of the Resident Coordinator to the DPRK remain in the UN compound in Pyongyang, the RCO secured a new temporary home in the ESCAP’s Secretariat Building in Bangkok. The new premises will accommodate the Bangkok-based staff of the RCO, including the RC, and provide them with a temporary home before they are allowed to return to Pyongyang. The RC expressed his gratitude to the Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific, the UN Office for Disaster Risk Reduction, and the UN Development Coordination Office for their support.
